Nikwax Tent & Gear Proof waterproofing spray
Nikwax Tent & Gear Proof is an easy to use water-based waterproofing treatment that restores water repellency and protects tents, tarps, awnings, backpacks, covers and camera bags. The treatment adds durable water repellent properties and extends the life of outdoor equipment.
Application
For best results, clean the item first with Nikwax Tech Wash. Do not dry the item before waterproofing. Shake well before use.
- Lay the clean, wet tent or fabric item on a protected surface
- Apply evenly using a spray bottle or garden sprayer
- Do not dilute
- Apply evenly to the outer fabric
- Wait 2 minutes
- Remove excess with a damp cloth
- Allow to air dry

- 2 person tent – approx. 300 ml
- 3–4 person tent – approx. 500 ml
- Family tent – approx. 1 L
Waterproofing treatment for tents and outdoor gear
To maintain waterproof performance, use only Nikwax Tech Wash for cleaning and avoid regular detergents.
